Since 1946, the Prior Lake Association has been focused on the preservation and promotion of the quality of the water and shoreline of Upper and Lower Prior Lake and the safety and well being of all who use the lake and its environs for recreational purposes.

Achievements

Provide the Annual 4th of July Fireworks
Supply and repair lake marker buoys annually
Provide Boat Safety Courses for Youth annually
Assist in the funding of the bio mapping device used to monitor lake vegetation
Volunteer to assist in the seasonal bio-mapping efforts
Write and publish “Lakesmarts” Safety and Lake Informational Articles
Secured funding from the MN legislature for ramp improvements at Sand Point and DeWitt launches.
Board Members accompanied Prior Lake Spring Lake Watershed District board members and staff to lobby for funds for the re-lining of the Prior Lake Outlet Channel.

Participate in Carp Seining with Prior Lake-Spring Lake Watershed District
Provide Community Education Regarding Water Quality
Provide several Community Events including the Ice Cream Social, Family Fishing Contest and the 4th of July Boat Parade
Coordinated the "Dive the Lake" clean up event for more than 10 years
Donated funds to shore up ramp improvements during lake drought.
Donate board time that raises money from other community events such as Lakefront Music Fest.
