Adam Proehl, President
Adam has been a Board Member since 2018, has enjoyed boating on Prior Lake since 2005, and has lived on the lake since 2012. His favorite activities on the lake are kayaking with his son, jet skiing with his daughter, and also having some winter fun out on the ice. As much as he’d like to be on the lake all day every day, his day job as a Partner and Co-Founder of NordicClick Interactive, a Digital Marketing Agency, keeps him busy. Adam and his wife Lori have lived in the community for 26 years and have a son Zach, a daughter Kiersten, and a beloved silver lab named Lulu who loves the lake as much as any dog can.
Ron Hoffmeyer, Vice President
Ron, and his wife, Stela, moved onto Prior Lake in 2019 after living in California for 30 years. They settled in just as the Covid lock down occurred. They found it a blessing in that during this period they built strong friendships with their neighbors.
They researched the many lakes around the Twin Cities and settled on Prior because of the proximity to the city, friends and family along with the forward thinking management of the water quality. We enjoy every lake and city activity available; winter or summer. We have been involved and give back in every community that we reside. We look forward to many years in Prior Lake.
Amy Card,
Secretary
Amy and Dave moved to Prior Lake in August 2000 and were thrilled to find their perfect family home on Kops/Cow Bay! They enjoy pontooning, sailing, kayaking, skiing, and, in the winter, walking on the lake! Amy is interested in the effects of lakeshore landscaping and increased boat traffic on the water quality and wildlife, as well as boat driving education and safety. She and Dave volunteer to monitor water quality for the Watershed District. They have 3 adult children who share their love for the lake. She is a retired Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and Licensed School Nurse. Dave is a self-employed software implementation consultant and he is an active Rotarian. Their hobbies include traveling, sailing, and gathering friends and family at the lake!
She became a PLA board member in 2019 to actively help in conserving this beautiful resource for generations to come.
Steve Reinders, Board Member
Steve has been a Board Member since 2015, has enjoyed boating on Prior Lake since 1996 and has lived on the lake since 1998. His favorite activities on the lake are water skiing, lounging on his pontoon and lunch at Charlie’s on Prior. Steve also enjoys winter activities on the lake which usually include endless hours of clearing the snow off a skating rink for the neighborhood kids. When pulled away from the lake, Steve has a day job as Optometrist and owner of Complete Family Eyecare in Prior Lake. Steve and his wife Jennifer have been married for 17 years and have two daughters, Abigail and Isabelle, who are also avid water skiers and lake lovers.
Kyle Arndt, Board Member
Kyle, his girlfriend Becky, and their family moved to Prior Lake in April 2022 and have been loving the lake life ever since.
With a background in technical production for rock and roll touring, Kyle traveled the world producing live shows. A decade ago, he transitioned into corporate events and built his career at EideCom, where he now serves as Chief Operating Officer.
Eager to give back, he sees the PLA board as a way to connect, support local initiatives, and help improve Prior Lake. Highly organized and execution-focused, Kyle ensures projects run smoothly and would bring that same efficiency and problem-solving mindset to the board.
Jan Alswager, Board Member
Jan Alswager began serving on the Board in 2022 and has enjoyed boating and lake life much of her life. She and her long-time partner, Gary, purchased a home on Prior Lake in 2020, and are loving the lake life once again. Both Jan and Gary are recently retired and have time to enjoy their kayaks, paddleboards, boat and pontoon. They thoroughly enjoy the winter wonderland that the frozen lake provides for families. Between them they have 5 children and six grandchildren aged 4 and under. They can’t wait for the babies to toddle around on the boats and in the water. Jan was a long-time lobbyist at the MN legislature and loves learning about the lake and the policies that affect it. It is important to her that policies are in place to provide for a healthy lake for the future of our families. Every morning Jan announces to Gary, “It’s another beautiful day on Prior Lake!” We couldn’t love Prior Lake more!
Jen Longhenry, Board Member
Since 2019 Jen Longhenry has been an active member of the Prior Lake Association Board of Directors and serves as the group’s liaison to other outdoor-minded volunteer groups. Residing in Prior Lake with her two sons, Jen is also an active Real Estate agent with Prandium Real Estate Group, a family-owned Prior Lake business. Besides being active with other civic groups Jen spends much of her free time watching her sons play baseball and hockey.
John Teilborg, Board Member
John Teilborg, who along with his wife, Lorraine, have been Prior Lake/Savage residents for over 35 years and are, today, proud lake home owners who thoroughly enjoy “lake life.” John, who still remains active in the real estate industry, has been a PLA board member since 2018 and has always been civically active. His community service includes little league coaching, the Edina Realty Foundation and Warrior Dog Rescue. Together with their adult children, Lindsay and Ben, the Teilborgs enjoy hiking, water skiing, snowboarding and fishing.
Tom Stephenson, Board Member
This Michigan native worked in the aerospace industry for over 30 years and today he and his wife, Sandra, a retired sourcing manager, enjoy an active life style on Prior Lake. Long active in the Prior Lake Association, Tom has the distinction of serving as the organization’s president longer than anyone in the group’s history. He led the PLA from 2006 until handing over the gavel in 2018. For even more years Tom has been the board’s coordinator of the highly successful Family Fishing event held every summer. Thanks to Tom’s leadership, countless young anglers have been introduced to the fun of fishing for crappies, sunfish and bass.
Michelle Tofanelli, Treasurer
Michelle is an energetic adventurer who has been living the “lake life” in Prior Lake since early 2020, alongside her husband Matt. She has a deep appreciation for the great outdoors and enjoys spending time on the lake paddle boarding, boating and fishing. When she’s not on the water, Michelle loves spending time perfecting her Pilates practice and cooking meals for her family and friends. Her love of traveling takes her to new horizons, learning about new cultures and always seeking to broaden her perspective. Along with her two furry companions, Stella and Jojo, (also enthusiastic boaters) every outing becomes an unforgettable adventure.
