About Prior Lake - Savage Optimist Club: “The Prior Lake-Savage Optimist Club is a community-focused organization dedicated to supporting youth primarily within School District 719. Since its founding in 1978, the club has raised and distributed over $1,000,000 to youth programs through charitable gambling, club events, and individual contributions. Guided by the motto “Bringing out the best in kids,” the club operates locally to tailor its fundraising and support efforts to the unique needs of its community.

As a long-standing volunteer service group, the Optimist Club conducts a variety of activities and social events throughout the year, while its members meet twice monthly during the school year to coordinate efforts and allocate funding to impactful youth initiatives.
