Steven Reinders, President
Steven has been a Board Member since 2015, has enjoyed boating on Prior Lake since 1996 and has lived on the lake since 1998. His favorite activities on the lake are water skiing, lounging on his pontoon and lunch at Charlie’s on Prior. Steven also enjoys winter activities on the lake which usually include endless hours of clearing the snow off a skating rink for the neighborhood kids. When pulled away from the lake, Steve has a day job as Optometrist and owner of Complete Family Eyecare in Burnsville. Steven and his wife Jennifer have been married for 13 years and have two daughters, Abigail and Isabelle, who are also avid water skiers and lake lovers. Steven and Jennifer are long time members of Shepherd of the Lake Lutheran Church.
Julie Myser, Vice President
Julie has lived on the lake with her husband Mike and have been a part of the Prior Lake Association since 2010. The great outdoors is a huge part of her life and living on a lake helps satisfy her desire to be active and compete with her husband. Whether it is surfing, kayaking or swimming across the lake in the summer, or skiing or skating in the winter, half the fun is being outside. The other half is working hard for a win while competing with Mike! If you do not see Julie out on the lake, she is usually out back with friends and family or sitting on her perch on their dock, fishing and watching others having fun on the lake.
Woody Spitzmueller, Secretary
Woody has been a PLA Board member since 2000 and lived on Prior Lake since 1997. He grew up spending weekends water skiing, sailing and fishing at his parent’s lake home on Bone Lake, near Luck, WI. Woody enjoys boating, snowmobiling and all season lake-related activities with his wife, neighbors and family. Woody and his wife have 2 children and 6 grandchildren. His kids live out of state so the lake place helps provide an incentive for family gatherings. Woody assists with many of the PLA events, primarily the DNR Youth boating course. Other volunteer activities include the Prior Lake-Spring Lake Watershed District Board (Treasurer), the city Community Safety Advisory Committee (charter member) and AARP Tax Aide program (Shakopee site coordinator).
Judy Faust, Board Member
Judy and her husband, Tony, have lived in Prior Lake since 1998 and Judy has been active with the Prior Lake Association most of that time. Over the years, they have acquired all of the necessary possessions needed for lake living: a deckboat, 2 jet skis, 2 paddle boards, a hot tub and a pool! They thoroughly enjoy all lake activities with family, friends and their 2 dogs. They also feel very fortunate for Charlie’s, the restaurant on the lake, that welcomes their furry friends. The PLA and its members have been a great addition to their life experiences in Prior Lake with its promotion of recreational lake activities as well as safety, educational and lake quality improvements. They encourage everyone that enjoys time on Prior Lake and appreciates this wonderful natural resource to become members and participate in any way that they can!
Patti Hejhal, Board Member
Patti has been on the PLA Board since 2015. She and Jim Gutzman live on Prior Lake and enjoy entertaining on their pontoon and in their yard playing hours of Bocce Ball with friends and family. Between the two of them, they have 4 adult children and 4 grandchildren so there is never a dull moment. Patti and Jim enjoy every baseball, softball, soccer and basketball game that they can attend with the kids. Patti has been a full time Realtor for 35 years and an owner of Keller Williams Realty. Jim is a musician and performs in a group called High Brow and The Shades. He also has a sales training/motivational program called “Who Knows It?”
Kathy Dawson, Board Member
Kathy is not only a lifelong resident of Prior Lake, she is the 5th generation of her family to call Prior Lake their home. Her collection of Prior Lake historical documents, personal accounts, family histories, and photographs is extensive, dating back to the 1800’s. It’s only fitting that the historical pictures that decorate the walls of Charlie’s on Prior, came from Kathy, since the original Green Lawn Farm (and later Green Heights) was built on the site by her great-grandfather in 1907. After 30 years of teaching Junior High special education, Kathy retired and now is active in the Prior Optimist Club, Prior Lake Chamber and Prior Lake Yacht Club. Kathy and her husband Denny have lived on the lake since 1992. Their favorite times on the lake are spent on the pontoon with family and friends, and enjoying the lake with their six grandchildren.
Kristina Kraemer-Johnson, Board Member
Kristina and her husband Seth have lived in Prior Lake since 2014, and recently moved to Upper Prior Lake in 2016. They enjoy boating, kayaking, stand up paddle boarding and taking in the breathtaking Prior Lake sunsets. When they’re not at the lake, they work hard in the residential and civil construction industries, spend time with their friends and families, go camping and take their dog, Isha on hiking adventures at several local parks.
Trevor Pope, Board Member
Trevor has been a PLA Board Member since 2017 and has also been on the Prior Lake Water Ski Association for many years, and actively involved in the show skiing side of the team. His favorite activities on the water are barefoot and slalom skiing and taking his family on the pontoon when not in the ski boat. In the winter, he spends time on the lake on his snowmobiles and ice fishing. When he's not out having fun on the water, he is working on the water year round. Trevor has owned Great Outdoors Services since 2000, providing dock and boat lift install and removal services, as well as sales of new docks and lifts, boat storage and winterizing. Trevor and his Wife Kimberly have been married for 5 years, and have a Son named Parker and two dogs who all love spending time on the water as well. They all enjoy living in Prior Lake, and enjoy all that this city has to offer.
