PLA - President Letter
Here we are again at the end of another wonderful fun summer. As can be seen in our newsletter & website, the Prior Lake Association has been busy with all the activities that we sponsor every year. Without the support from our members and local sponsors these activities could not happen. I would like to personally thank all those that helped to make this summers activities a success.
I would especially like to thank all the businesses and members that contributed to the Fireworks fund. Each year we try to make the show a little bit bigger and better. As we do we must work a little harder to cover the cost of the show. If you contributed to this summers show, on behalf of the entire community, thank you very much! We hope you will continue to support us next year. For those that did not, please consider planning a contribution in next years budget. Every little bit helps. Together we can make next years fireworks the best ever!
One change for the Prior Lake Association going forward is the location of monthly board meetings. In the past, ever since I have been involved with the association, Edina Realty has graciously allowed us to use their meeting room. Recent renovations have eliminated this room so we must now move to a new location. I would like to thank Edina Realty for their years of support and let everyone know that we are moving our monthly board meetings to the Prior Lake VFW. We will still meet the first Tuesday of the month at 6:30 P.M. Please feel free to stop in at any meeting. These meetings are open to all and we would welcome your ideas, input and involvement.
This year we are also having our fall membership meeting at the Prior Lake VFW on October 9th. There will be a social hour with food and cash bar, a short meeting to review this years activities and the rest of the time will be dedicated to getting to know each other. If you have any interest in the association, have an idea for a new activity or are just interested in hearing about what is going on around the lake, please feel free to stop by the meeting or one of the monthly board meetings.
One last note. Just because the weather is colder, doesn't mean the association will be taking the winter off. We have the photo contest and the ice house contest this winter along with planning to make next summer even better.
