Did you know that the Prior Lake Association is responsible for the annual fireworks display?

P reparations for the Fourth of July fireworks show are well underway and our pyrotechnics experts assure us it will be one to remember. For over six years we have had RES Specialty Pyrotechnics of Belle Plaine put on our show and they are one of the best in the business. They are regularly scouting out the latest and greatest in aerial fireworks displays to keep our show fresh and exciting. As in recent years, this year’s show will launch from Watzel’s Beach, providing an excellent view from almost anywhere north of west of the park. The beach area will be closed from noon on that day to accommodate the safe setup of the show. The lake sheriff will be keeping boats back from the launch site on the lake for safety. The show will begin at the end of the evening twilight, which is usually just after 10 p.m. We have also kicked off our annual fundraiser to secure the money to pay for the show! We want to extend our thanks once again to last year’s business sponsors for helping us make that show possible, and we look forward to their support this year.
